Yalem Teshome

Adjunct Assistant Professor: Anthropology + Women & Gender Studies

My long-term scholarly interests in teaching and research include the unintended consequences of development policies on local communities particularly women, rural livelihood, migration of women, and questions of education equity toward women within development. More recently, I have been investigating globalization patterns in consumer culture including women beauty and the use of cosmetic surgery.
